At Prysm, we pride ourselves on having a team that is as dedicated and dynamic as our innovative solutions. Javid Sheik, Manager of Projects and Operations at Prysm, has been an integral part of our journey for over ten years.
Following his college tenure in India, Javid was visiting his brother in Dubai. One of his brother's friends, who had recently been deemed overqualified for a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) role at Prysm, casually mentioned the opportunity. Intrigued, Javid decided to apply. After two rounds of rigorous interviews with Tanvir Osama, Prysm's VP for EMEA, and Avinash Vaidya, Prysm's Senior Project Manager for EMEA – he received an offer.
"It wasn't a difficult decision for us," said Osama. "It was immediately apparent that Javid was a talented young professional that could instantly contribute to our efforts. We knew his potential had a very high ceiling."
Starting as a Junior FAE, Javid's commitment and expertise saw him quickly take on new roles and more responsibilities. Within a year, he was promoted to Principal FAE, and two years later, he became a Global FAE. His dedication and skillset led to his appointment as a Project Manager within five years. For the past three years, Javid has served as the Manager of Operations and Projects for the EMEA region, covering Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, ensuring customer success throughout many stages of project implementation and integration.
In his current role, Javid oversees technical operations and projects across the EMEA region. His primary goal is to educate our partners and distributors, ensuring they possess comprehensive knowledge of Prysm's products. By empowering them, Javid helps drive brand awareness and business growth. He also plays a crucial role in servicing existing projects, particularly those involving premium clients with extensive installations. Acting as a bridge between Prysm, its distributors and end-users, Javid ensures seamless communication and exceptional customer experiences.
Javid's decade-long tenure at Prysm includes many significant accomplishments. One of his notable achievements includes creating a global schedule for designing installation plans and procedures. In 2018, he spearheaded the project management of several large-scale installations, including impressive 10-meter by 10-meter video walls. His meticulous planning and resource management, including coordinating with teams from across the world, were key to the success of these projects.
