Let's All Go Home and Get Some Work Done

The concept of remote work has been steadily evolving since the late 1960s.

As technology has improved, so has our ability to add value from outside of the office. Now, with the advent of mobile devices, videoconferencing, and digital workplace technology, we're seeing companies that are 100% distributed —meaning that they have no central headquarters at all. 

It is abundantly clear that "office work" is no longer synonymous with being caged up in a cubicle from 9-5 every day. We've definitely come a long way since 1972 when physicist Jack Nilles coined the term "telecommute."
